Postdoctoral Research Associate in Sleep Medicine

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Postdoctoral Research Associate in Sleep Medicine to join the Experimental and Clinical Sleep Medicine group within the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences. We conduct human experimental and clinical studies on sleep and disorders of sleep with the aim of understanding their pathophysiology and treatment.

The post holder will provide research support to clinical sleep studies taking place within the group. Principal duties include supporting participant recruitment, conducting baseline and follow-up assessments, and analysis of sleep data.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in neuroscience, psychology or related area as well as have experience in research on the link between sleep and mental health. They should hold a Masters degree and be working towards their PhD to underfill at Grade 6. They will have expertise in the assessment of sleep and circadian rhythm sleep-wake disorders and in sleep measurement and analysis (e.g., polysomnography, actigraphy). They will also be able to demonstrate competence and success in the thesis research area and have previous experience working within a multi-disciplinary team. Research experience on the link between sleep and mental health is a desirable.
