Initial 3-year fixed term contract with possible 2 year extension.
Following a £20M Grand Challenge Award from CRUK, The Cancer Cachexia Action Network (CanCAN), a team of transatlantic scientists led by Eileen White, will be addressing the fundamental mechanisms underlying cancer-induced cachexia.
Four positions contributing to CanCAN are available in Glasgow UK at the CRUK Beatson Institute.
We are seeking postdoctoral scientists for four positions with experience in some or all of the following areas:
In vivo models of cancer
Cancer metabolism
PET Imaging
PET Radiochemistry
Molecular biology
Bioinformatics / PET-PK modelling
Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant field, be ambitious, collaborative and driven by scientific curiosity.
The CRUK Beatson Institute is a cancer research institute, situated in Glasgow with approximately 250 researchers split across 30 research groups consisting of PIs, postdoctoral scientists, PhD students and scientific officers.
