An NIH-funded POSTDOCTORAL and RESEARCH SCIENTIST (or LAB MANAGER) position is available to study HOST-PATHOGEN INTERACTIONS of the Lyme disease pathogen in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Indiana University School of Medicine (https://medicine.iu.edu/microbiology-immunology/faculty). The project focuses on studying virulence determinants, mechanisms of immune evasion, and persistent infections (see recent publication PLOS Pathogens 16(10):e1008953. https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.ppat.1008953). This position provides excellent training and career development opportunities in the area of pathogenesis and infectious diseases.
