The research group of Fungal Immunology at IMBB-FORTH under the European Program GA 864957 iMAC-FUN ERC-2019-COG, entitled “iMAC-FUN Dissecting novel mechanisms of iron regulation during macrophage-fungal interplay (Program Coordinator Prof. George Chamilos) invites applications for one (1) Postdoctoral Researcher with expertise in the field of bioinformatics- microbiome research.

Position Description:

The Postdoctoral Researcher will establish research protocols and perform research on the role of lung microbiome in macrophage dysfunction during fungal disease

Selection process

Applications will be evaluated by a three-member evaluation committee. In case of interview procedure, candidates will be invited to participate in person or teleconference.

The announcement of the results will be posted on the website of FORTH-IMBB. This publication confers the right to object to the results within 5 working days of the date of the results announcement.

The selected candidates will be notified personally regarding the success of his/her application and will be requested to submit certified copies of his/her degrees. In the event that the documents submitted to not agree with the original application the candidate will be dismissed.

Skills/Qualifications

PhD in biology, documented experience in microbiome analysis. Fluency in English and Greek is required.
