Postdoctoral Position- UC Davis Graduate School of Managements

The Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Davis, is now accepting applications for postdoctoral scholar positions in business analytics. The appointment is for two years with the option of renewal for a third year. The postdoctoral scholars will report to the faculty director of the Masters of Science in Business Analytics program (MSBA, see https://gsm.ucdavis.edu/master-science-business-analytics-msba).

Job Description:

The positions seek recent Ph.D. graduates who have interests in advancing research by applying data science approaches to business domains. The successful candidates will join an active group of researchers spanning multiple disciplines and projects in consumer analysis, information systems, operations research, organizational behavior, and marketing. The candidates will also receive regular mentorship and training from the faculty and will be encouraged to disseminate research findings in major conferences and publish in top-tier peer-reviewed publications.

A light teaching load will also be part of the position. Successful candidates should exhibit an interest in teaching business school students in the MSBA program. Examples of courses could include data management, data design and representation, data visualization, statistics, or machine learning. The candidates will also occasionally assist the students in a quantitative and computing capacity.
